Congratulations
Yvette is a wonderful visual artist who relocated to Hexham a few years back. She used to host very successful cultural co-working days and now has her own gallery and shop in town. She also sells artwork and bookbinding kits online and ships globally.

“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve opened my first bricks and mortar shop in Hexham. It’s been a dream of mine for about six years to open a space for my artwork, workshops and creative practice. After having a studio (and participating in open studio events) for over 15 years, this felt like the next step for my business.
I’ve only been open for 3 weeks and already it’s been really busy with new commissions and meeting lots of people who want to learn bookbinding.
I’m on the loveliest street too with other independent shops and there’s a real sense of community in Hexham, which has been a big factor as to why I wanted to open a shop here.
I’m taking part, by staying open late for some of the festive events including the Christmas Light Switch on this Friday. My daughter is singing at it so I’ll be closed 4-6pm then open 6-8pm along with loads of other fantastic shops.”
Over to you, let us know the hot spots for supporting local creatives and artists? We’ll meet you in the comments.
